Yack's Internet Program Guide(SM) seeks to provide the most comprehensive listings of the Web's highest-quality events in an accurate and unbiased manner.
The following guidelines are minimum standards that have been set in order to uphold and enhance our credibility.
Yack's editorial services are committed to a strict policy of editorial neutrality.
Yack makes every effort to obtain and maintain a thorough and complete database of listings for the subject categories and topics on the site. However, some listings may not be included, due to technical problems, failure on the part of event producers to report the program in a timely manner, or other reasons. Yack welcomes updates on all event listings from all event producers.
Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of Yack's listings. We are committed to quickly correcting any factual errors. This could include a misspelled name, a URL or show times. Errors brought to the attention of Yack editorial management will be corrected in a timely manner on the Yack Corrections page.
Users are welcome to contact our editorial director, Jo Steffens with errors in listings or other editorial matters.
Category selection of listings is made by Yack's content editors. Some listings that are deemed to fall into multiple categories will appear in more than one topic list. Selection of the categories and where event listings appear on the site is at the sole discretion of Yack's editors.
Yack may link to non-Yack content that could be considered offensive by certain readers. The use of a hyperlink never constitutes an endorsement of a company, product, or opinion. The use of the hyperlink does not imply that Yack agrees with the content being linked to and provides no guarantee that the content contains accurate information. Yack editors are under no obligation to link to any site.
Yack, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any listing at any time for any reason, with or without cause, and reserves the right to prohibit or restrict access to the services to anyone at any time, with or without cause.
Editorial employees occasionally solicit and receive products for review. Acceptance of these products does not signify an endorsement of these products and receipt of any product greater that $50 in value is reported to the Editorial Director.
While Yack offers reviews of content on other Web sites, it is Yack's policy not to review its own business, editorial or other services. Should Yack be referenced on a site, it is strictly for advertising or promotional purposes and should not be considered a function of editorial content.
Yack is a business subsidized in part by advertising. Revenue for the site is generated by the selling of advertisements in the form of banners, sponsorships, merchant listings and special advertising sections.
Yack is not an "e-tailer," and accordingly, does not sell products affiliated with listing sites.
Yack has business relationships and investments in and from a number of companies. Yack editors will disclose business relationships in editorial content whenever relevant. Ordinary advertising relationships, content distribution agreements, or service contracts do not require disclosure.
