New York City, October 16, 2000 YackSM, the Internet Program GuideSM, has renewed its long-standing distribution partnership with Road Runner, the nations pre-eminent broadband service provider, for another two years. In the newly renegotiated deal, Yack will have a far greater presence on the service, giving Road Runners more than one million broadband users an extensive guide to Web events and programs.
Expanding beyond the original agreement, the broadband version of the complete Yack guide, Fast Yack, will now be fully integrated into various contextualized areas of Road Runner. Fast Yack will be prominently featured on the Primary Channel, each Primary Channel Highlights screen and each Category Welcome screen.
"We are delighted to be furthering our relationship with Road Runner," stated Jeff Morris, President & CEO of Yack. "Yack has long been a proponent of broadband adoption, as well as an evangelist for broadband content. As an innovator in broadband content and programming, Road Runners use of our product is a sign that broadband providers and users are increasingly recognizing the necessity for a guide like Yack to sort through the growing inventory of live and on-demand Web events and programs."
