New York City, February 12, 2001 Reflecting an aggressive new direction as a full-service media company, YackSM (www.yack.com), the Internet Program GuideSM, is moving away from the business-to-consumer model to focus on syndication and licensing of its online event guides. The announcement was made today by Yack President & CEO Jeff Morris.

According to Morris, Yack will be modeled after traditional TV/movie listings providers, becoming the single most comprehensive source for Web program and event listings. Culling from Yack's rapidly growing database of over 150,000 live and on-demand streaming media and chat event listings each week, Yack will focus on repackaging and reselling its content and services to a wide array of clients.

Under the B2B model, Yack's advertising sales, marketing and business development departments have been combined. The new Yack Marketing & Sales division will be headed by General Manager, Victoria Quoss, who joins Yack from streaming media company Microcast, Inc. Yack will generate revenues from licensing and syndication fees, as well as ad sales and partnership fees.

"We are moving into very exciting territory, filled with unlimited potential for growth," said Morris. "With this new direction, we've opened our doors to multiple revenue streams. Yack will provide a wide range of much-needed services, while giving our advertisers and partners more exposure than ever. And I'm extremely excited that we have been able to attract top-notch professionals such as Victoria and Rob to head this effort."

Quoss has a proven track record in television syndication, sales and marketing, having spent over 17 years in television management and sales with Worldvision, MGM, Tribune Entertainment and FOX. She has held various positions within FOX, spearheading everything from cable program distribution and marketing, to sales and network distribution.

"I am thrilled to join the Yack team," stated Quoss. "There is a real market for Yack's products and services and I look forward to leading the charge on the company's new B2B initiative."

Heading up the sales efforts for Yack Marketing and Sales will be newly appointed Vice President of Sales, Robert Klein. Klein, who joins the company from About.com, has extensive experience in online sales. Prior to his tenure as Vice President of Online Sales at About.com, Klein held various positions at 24/7 Media, NBC Cable, A&E Television Networks and McCann Erickson.

Morris said that over the next few weeks, Yack will focus on recruiting and hiring additional seasoned syndication sales professionals.

Despite the shift in business model, the company will continue to operate its consumer-driven YACK.com Web site -- the acclaimed guide to online event listings that has dominated the category since 1996.
