New York City, March 19, 2001 Shortly after announcing its shift from B2C to B2B, YackSM (www.yack.com), the Internet Program GuideSM, has cemented three exciting licensing deals that bring its Web guidance products into set-top box, cable modem, and on and offline media throughout the USA, Europe and Asia. The announcement was made today by Sean Malatesta, Yack Co-Founder and Vice President of International Business Development.
The company's new distribution partners include California-based Digital eStation, China's Sun TV and Germany's Interactive Media, a subsidiary of Axel Springer Verlag. Yack currently has distribution agreements with EarthLink, Road Runner, British Telecommunications, Tiscali's World Online, chello Broadband NV, Singapore One, leading UK Internet service providers Line One, FreeServe and Madasafish, high-speed entertainment portal Switch2it.com from Edison Interactive, and Handbag.com, Britain's largest women's portal.
"We are thrilled to add these three major players to our growing list of distribution partners," stated Malatesta. "These deals are a giant leap forward in expanding Yack's reach both domestically and internationally, and further reflects our dominance as the only truly global program guide to the Web."
Details of the deals include:
