New York City, July 11, 2000 — Cartoon fans who don't have time to dig through cyberspace to find their favorite Betty Boop, Joe Cartoon or WhirlGirl episodes can now rely on YackSM to direct them to the Web's ever-expanding library of animated works. Tapping into the explosion of both original and classic animation on the Internet, YackSM (www.yack.com), the Internet Program GuideSM, today launched the Web's first comprehensive guide to online animation.

Yack is the authority on what's happening in the world of online events, including streaming media and chats. Named the "Best Guide for Live Events" by Yahoo! Internet Life, Yack steers users to tens of thousands of Web events and programs each week.

The Yack Animation Guide, the fourth in Yack's series of comprehensive feature guides, will allow users to browse through Yack's database of over a thousand animated works, from classics like Casper the Friendly Ghost and Felix the Cat to hugely popular Web-based series like Joe Cartoon's SuperFly or Thugs on Film.

The guide will be searchable by type of animation -- including anime, classic cartoons, stop-motion, contemporary, digital and interactive -- by Web site, or by keyword. Many of the animated works have been culled from members of Yack's exclusive Event Producer NetworkSM (EPNSM), a network of over 250 top Web sites and event producers, including AtomFilms, IFILM, Shockwave and Sputnik7.

"The Web is home to some of the most exciting and original animation being created in the world today," said Jeff Morris, President and CEO of YACK.com. "With animation scattered all over the Internet, we want to give fans a dynamic tool that enables them to easily find their favorite characters, series, strips, and artists."

Other Yack guides include an Online Radio Guide, an Online Film Guide and the most recently launched Major League Baseball Guide, featuring audio broadcasts of every Major League Baseball game in the 2000 season.
